Privacy Policy for Apiary Master

Overview

Apiary Master ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our beekeeping management app for tracking apiaries, hives, queens, inspections, varroa mite counts, treatments, harvests and equipment.

Data We Collect

Locally on your device only:

• Apiary profiles you create (name, location notes, optional GPS coordinates you enter manually)
• Hive records (name, queen information, install date, source notes)
• Queen records (mark color, year, source, replacement history)
• Inspection logs (date, weather, observations, brood pattern, behavior notes)
• Varroa mite count records and treatment history
• Harvest records (honey weight, wax, propolis, dates)
• Equipment inventory you track
• Reminders for inspections, treatments and seasonal tasks
• App preferences (theme, notification settings)
• Premium purchase status

We do not upload, transmit, or store any of your apiary, hive, queen, inspection, varroa, harvest, equipment or reminder data on any server.

Permissions We Request

• Internet: Required to (a) display ads on the free tier and (b) verify Google Play in-app purchases.
• Notifications: Required to deliver inspection, treatment and seasonal reminders you schedule.
• Schedule exact alarms: Required so reminders fire at the exact time you choose.

Third-Party Services

• Google AdMob: Displays ads to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing: Processes the one-time Pro Lifetime upgrade. Purchase data is handled by Google.
• Google Play Integrity API: Verifies that the app installation is genuine to protect purchases against fraud. No personal data is collected.
• Firebase (Google): Used only for Play Integrity verification. No identifying user data is sent.

Data Storage

All apiaries, hives, queens, inspections, varroa records, harvests, equipment, reminders and preferences are stored locally on your device only using SQLite. We do not have access to your data and there is no cloud sync.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transmit your personal data to any third party. The only data leaving your device:

• Ad interaction data (Google AdMob, free-tier users only)
• Purchase verification (Google Play Billing)
• Anonymous integrity checks (Google Play Integrity)

Children's Privacy

The App is designed for beekeepers. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your Rights

You can delete all app data at any time by:

• Deleting individual apiaries (cascades to all related hives, queens, inspections, varroa records, harvests and reminders) from the Apiaries tab
• Uninstalling the app (removes all local data)

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
