Account Deletion Overview
We understand that you may want to delete your account and associated data from Ham Radio Master (FCC). This page provides clear instructions on how to permanently delete your account and all associated information.
⚠️ Important: Account Deletion is Permanent
Once your account is deleted, this action CANNOT be undone. All your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 90 days, including:
- Study progress (questions answered, accuracy statistics)
- Quiz history (all quiz scores and results)
- Bookmarked questions (favorites list)
- Study streaks (consecutive days studied)
- License class progress (Technician/General/Extra advancement)
- Cloud sync data (Firestore and Realtime Database)
- Account credentials (Google Sign-In or Anonymous auth)
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: Delete via App (Recommended)
- Open Ham Radio Master (FCC) app on your Android device
- Tap the menu icon (☰ three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner to open the navigation drawer
- Tap "Settings" from the drawer menu
- Scroll down to the "Account Management" section
- Tap "Delete Account" button
- Confirm deletion by tapping "Yes, Delete My Account" in the confirmation dialog
- Your account will be immediately deactivated and all data will be permanently deleted within 90 days
Option 2: Email Support (Alternative Method)
If you cannot access the app or prefer email deletion, you can request account deletion by contacting us:
- Send an email to: dev@corithmflowmatrix.com
- Subject line: "Delete Account - Ham Radio Master (FCC)"
- Include in email body:
- Your email address associated with the account (if using Google Sign-In)
- Your User ID (found in Settings → About → User ID)
- Confirmation statement: "I request permanent deletion of my account and all associated data"
- We will process your request within 48 hours and send confirmation via email
- All data will be permanently deleted within 90 days of request
What Data is Deleted?
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
Personal Data:
- Account credentials (Google Sign-In email or Anonymous User ID)
- User profile information (if any)
- Device tokens (for notifications)
Study Data:
- All questions answered (history)
- Accuracy statistics (correct/incorrect percentages)
- Bookmarked/favorited questions
- Study streaks and badges
Quiz Data:
- All quiz scores and results
- Quiz history (date, license class, score)
- Leaderboard entries (if applicable)
Cloud Sync Data:
- Firestore documents (user stats, favorites, settings)
- Realtime Database entries (leaderboards, if applicable)
- Firebase Authentication record
What Data is NOT Deleted?
The following data is retained as required by law or for business purposes:
- In-App Purchase records (required by Google Play for tax/legal compliance - stored by Google, not us)
- Anonymized analytics (app usage statistics with no personal identifiers)
- Support tickets (email correspondence for business record-keeping - anonymized after 2 years)
Note: These retained records contain NO personally identifiable information after account deletion.
Data Deletion Timeline

⚡ Immediate (0-24 hours):
Account deactivated, login access revoked, app data cleared locally -
📊 Within 7 days:
Firestore user documents deleted, Realtime Database entries removed -
🔒 Within 30 days:
Firebase Authentication record permanently deleted, cloud backups purged -
✅ Within 90 days:
All archived data permanently deleted from backup systems (GDPR compliance)
Before You Delete
💡 Consider These Alternatives
- Sign out instead: Your data remains but you won't receive notifications
- Clear local data: Settings → Storage → Clear Cache (keeps cloud backup)
- Disable cloud sync: Settings → Cloud Sync → Turn Off (data stays local only)
- Uninstall app: Your cloud data remains safe if you want to return later
These options preserve your study progress while giving you control over your data.
