1. Introduction
HomeEd Planner Pro ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our homeschool planning and management application
on Android (via Google Play Store) and Windows desktop (via Microsoft Store, branded as "HomeEd Planner Pro - Command Center").
2. Information We Collect

- Grades: Assignment names, scores, dates, subjects, GPA calculations
- Attendance Records: Dates, status (present/absent/holiday/field trip), notes
- State Compliance: Your selected state for compliance-specific features
2.2 Automatically Collected Information

- Purchase History: In-app purchases (processed by Google Play Store or Microsoft Store)

- OAuth Access Token: We request a limited-scope Google OAuth token (
drive.file scope) that only allows access to files created by our app — we cannot access any other files in your Google Drive
- No Server Storage: Your photos are stored directly in YOUR Google Drive — they never pass through or reside on our servers
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Store and manage your homeschool planning data

4. Data Storage
4.1 Local Storage (All Users)
All homeschool data (children, lessons, grades, attendance) is stored locally on your device using Hive (encrypted local database).
This data is NOT transmitted to our servers unless you enable Cloud Sync (premium feature).
4.2 Cloud Storage (Premium and Command Center Users)
Premium and Command Center users can enable Cloud Sync to backup and sync data across devices using Firebase Firestore.
When enabled, your data is encrypted in transit and stored securely on Google Cloud Platform servers.
4.3 Google Drive Storage (Desktop Command Center Only)
The desktop Command Center app stores Photo Portfolio images in your personal Google Drive account.
We use the drive.file OAuth scope, which restricts our access to ONLY files and folders created by our app.
We cannot read, modify, or delete any other files in your Google Drive.
You can revoke this access at any time via your Google Account Permissions.
4.4 Device License Data (Command Center Only)
Command Center licenses are limited to a maximum of 2 devices per account. We store a device fingerprint and registration timestamp
in Firebase Firestore to enforce this limit. An offline license cache (valid for 7 days) is stored locally to allow offline access.

We do NOT sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share data with:
- Google Play Services: For in-app purchases and app distribution (Android)
- Microsoft Store: For app distribution (Windows desktop)
- Firebase (Google): For cloud sync, authentication, and analytics (Premium and Command Center users)
- Google Drive (Google): For photo portfolio storage, using only files created by our app (Desktop Command Center users only)

6. Data Security
We implement security measures to protect your data:
- Local database encryption using Hive
- Secure HTTPS connections for cloud sync
- No plain-text storage of sensitive information
- Regular security audits of third-party services
7. Data Retention
- Free Users: Data is stored locally on your device. You can delete data anytime by uninstalling the app or using in-app delete functions. Free users see only the last 2 weeks of data in the app.
- Premium Users: Cloud data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request data deletion at any time by contacting support.
