Note: Mushroom Forager Guide does not require an account. All data (foraging log entries, preferences, premium status) is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes all local data automatically.
How to Delete Your Data
Option 1: In-App (Recommended)
- Open Mushroom Forager Guide
- Go to the Finds tab
- Delete individual foraging log entries, or
- Use your device Settings to clear all app data (see Option 2)
Option 2: Clear App Data
- Open your device Settings > Apps > Mushroom Forager Guide > Storage
- Tap "Clear Data"
- All locally stored data is permanently deleted
Option 3: Uninstall the App
- Long-press the Mushroom Forager Guide icon on your home screen
- Select "Uninstall" or drag to the uninstall area
- All locally stored data is permanently deleted
Option 4: Email Request
If you need written confirmation of data deletion or have questions:

We will respond within 48 hours confirming that no server-side data exists for your account.
What Gets Deleted
- All foraging log entries (species, date, location description, coordinates, habitat, conditions, spore print, confidence rating, notes)
- App preferences and theme settings
- Premium purchase status (note: purchase can be restored via Google Play Restore Purchases)
What We Cannot Delete
- Google Play purchase records: Managed by Google. Contact Google Play support to request purchase history removal.
- AdMob advertising data: Managed by Google. See Google's Privacy Policy for ad data deletion.
Data Retention
Since all user data is stored locally on your device, there is no server-side data retention. Once you uninstall the app or clear data, it is permanently gone and cannot be recovered.
