1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Mushroom Forager Guide ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Mushroom Forager Guide is an offline educational and record-keeping tool that provides:
- An offline field guide of 22 mushroom species with edibility ratings and identifying features
- A feature-based identification helper that filters species by observable traits (underside type, spore print color, habitat)
- Toxic lookalike warnings for each species
- A personal foraging log stored locally on your device
- Reference tools: seasonal calendar, spore print color guide, how-to guides, and a mycology glossary
CRITICAL SAFETY DISCLAIMER: Wild mushrooms can be deadly. Many edible species have poisonous or deadly lookalikes. Mushroom Forager Guide is an educational and record-keeping tool ONLY. It is NOT a substitute for an experienced mycologist and must NEVER be used as the sole basis for deciding whether a mushroom is safe to eat. Never consume any wild mushroom identified solely with this app. Always confirm every find with a qualified local expert before eating anything. Misidentification of wild mushrooms can cause serious illness, organ failure, or death. The developer accepts no liability whatsoever for any harm, illness, or death resulting from foraging, identification, or consumption decisions made using this app.
3. Free and Premium Tiers
- Free Tier: Full access to the offline field guide, identification helper, toxic lookalike warnings, and all reference tools, plus up to 3 foraging log entries. Ad-supported.
- Premium Tier (one-time purchase): Unlimited foraging log entries, log export/sharing, and an ad-free experience. Price is displayed dynamically by Google Play in your local currency.
Premium purchases are processed through Google Play Billing and are subject to Google's refund policies.
4. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and functionality of Mushroom Forager Guide are the intellectual property of Corithm Flow Matrix. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App. Species information is provided as a general educational reference only.
5. User Responsibilities
- Never eat any wild mushroom identified solely with this app
- Always confirm every find with a qualified local expert before consuming anything
- Use the App as a learning aid, not as a definitive safety authority
- Maintain your own backups of log data (data is stored locally only)
- Forage responsibly and in accordance with local laws and land-access rules
6. Limitation of Liability
Mushroom Forager Guide and Corithm Flow Matrix are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not responsible for:
- Any illness, injury, or death resulting from mushroom misidentification or consumption
- Accuracy or completeness of species information in all regions or conditions
- Foraging decisions made by users
- Data loss due to device failure or app uninstallation
- Service interruptions or app unavailability
7. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time without notice for violations of these terms.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of India.
