Pest Control Tech 2026 ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our pest control technician licensing exam preparation application.

Information We Do NOT Collect

The App does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information, including but not limited to:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• User account information (no accounts required)
• Usage analytics or behavioral tracking

Information Stored Locally

The App stores the following data only on your device using Android's SharedPreferences and local database:

• Your selected U.S. state (AZ, CA, FL, OH, TX)
• Questions you have answered and bookmarked
• Practice test results and scores
• App settings (dark mode, language, theme preferences)
• Premium purchase status (local unlock)
• Terms of Service acceptance status
• CEU (Continuing Education Unit) completion records
• Chemical calculation history

This local data:

• Is stored in device-local SharedPreferences and SQLite database
• Is deleted if you uninstall the app
• Is never transmitted to external servers

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob (Free Version Only)

The free version displays advertisements using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use:

• Device advertising identifiers
• IP address
• Ad interaction data (clicks, impressions)
• General device information (OS version, screen size)

AdMob's data collection is governed by:

• Google Privacy Policy
• Google Ads Privacy Notice

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings:

Google Play In-App Purchases

Premium is available via one-time purchase:

• Pro Unlock: $3.99 USD (one-time purchase)

All purchases are processed through Google Play Store's In-App Billing system. Google handles all payment processing. The App does not see or store credit card information.

• Purchase receipt stored locally on device
• Premium status verified via Google Play Billing Library
• No payment data stored in the App

Firebase (App Check / Integrity)

The App uses Firebase App Check to verify app integrity and prevent API abuse. Firebase may process:

• App attestation tokens (device integrity signals)
• No personally identifiable information is collected by Firebase in this App

Permissions Required

The App requests the following Android permissions:

• INTERNET: Display ads (free version), verify premium purchases
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Check internet connectivity for ads and purchase verification
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Send study reminder notifications (Android 13+)
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM: Schedule precise study reminder notifications
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Restore scheduled notifications after device reboot

The App does NOT request:

• Camera, Microphone, Contacts, Phone/SMS, Location, or External storage access

Study Reminder Notifications

The App can send local push notifications for daily study reminders. These notifications:

• Are processed entirely on your device
• Do not transmit any data to external servers
• Can be disabled in device Settings → Apps → Pest Control Tech 2026

Data Security

• Local Storage Only: All study data stored in device-local database and SharedPreferences
• No Cloud Sync: No user data is ever uploaded to any server
• No Personally Identifiable Information: The App does not collect or store any PII
• AdMob Tracking (Free Version Only): Google AdMob may track ad interactions — governed by Google's privacy policy

Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adults (18+) preparing for professional pest control technician licensing exams. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
