IBS & Gut Health Scanner ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our digestive health tracking and symptom analysis application.

Data We Collect

Locally on your device only:

Symptom logs (pain, bloating, gas, bowel movement entries)
Food diary entries and meal records
Stress level and sleep quality ratings
Trigger analysis results and correlation data
App preferences and settings (theme, notifications)
Premium purchase status

No personal information is required — no account creation, no email, no sign-in.

Sensitive Health Data

The App collects self-reported digestive health information (symptoms, bowel movements, food intake). This data is:

Stored locally only — on your device, never uploaded to our servers
Never shared with any third party
Never sold to advertisers, data brokers, or researchers
Fully deleted when you uninstall the app

Google AdMob (Free Tier Only)

Free users see banner and interstitial ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

Device advertising ID (for ad targeting)
General usage data for ad optimization

Upgrading to Premium removes all ads permanently. See Google's Privacy Policy for AdMob details.

Google Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data:

Screen views and navigation patterns
Feature usage (which tracking tools are used most)
Crash reports (to improve stability)
NO personal identifiers or health data are collected by analytics

In-App Purchases

Premium purchases are processed by Google Play. We receive only confirmation that a purchase was completed. We do NOT receive:

Credit card or payment details
Billing address
Google account information

Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, trade, or share your personal or health data with third parties, except:

Google (AdMob, Analytics, Play) as described above — NO health data is shared
When required by law

PDF Export Feature

The App allows you to export symptom reports as PDF files. These PDFs are generated locally on your device and are under your control. We do not access, store, or transmit exported PDFs.

Data Retention

All health and symptom data is stored locally on your device using encrypted local storage. Uninstalling the app deletes all local data. To request deletion of any analytics data, contact us below.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
