Overview

Travel Planner & Expenses ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our offline travel planning, budgeting and expense-splitting application.

Data We Collect

Locally on your device only:

Trips (name, dates, destinations, type, budget, notes)
Day-by-day itinerary items (times, places, notes)
Packing lists and checklists
Expenses, bill-splitting details and settle-up calculations
Documents you choose to store (booking references, confirmation codes, passport numbers, insurance details)
Schengen entry/exit dates you enter into the calculator
App preferences and settings
Premium purchase status

No personal information is required — no account creation, no email, no sign-in. Your travel data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export a backup file yourself.

Document Vault

Any documents you save (booking refs, passport numbers, etc.) are stored only on your device and can be protected with an optional local PIN. They are never uploaded to any server. There is no cloud storage and no recovery mechanism — if you forget your PIN and clear the app, the data is gone.

Google AdMob (Free Tier Only)

Free users see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

Device advertising ID (for ad targeting)
General usage data for ad optimization

Upgrading to Pro removes all ads permanently. See Google's Privacy Policy for AdMob details.

Firebase & Play Integrity (Google)

The App uses Google Firebase for app initialization and the Google Play Integrity API to help protect purchases and deter fraud. These services may process device and app-integrity signals. No personal identifiers such as your name or email are collected by the App.

In-App Purchases

Pro purchases are processed by Google Play. We receive only confirmation that a purchase was completed. We do NOT receive credit card details, billing address, or Google account information.

Backup Files

If you use the Export Backup feature, a backup file is created and shared only where you choose (e.g. to your own cloud drive, email, or a travel companion). We never receive or store this file.

Travel Information Disclaimer

Reference content in the App — the Schengen 90/180 calculator, emergency numbers, tipping etiquette, phrasebook and currency rates — is provided for general guidance only and may not reflect the latest official rules. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any government, border authority, embassy or emergency service. Always verify with official sources before you travel.

Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except Google (AdMob, Firebase, Play) as described above, or when required by law.

Age Requirement

The App is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Retention

All travel data is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the App deletes all local data.
